Lumina Arts Guidance and Counseling services help clients explore and think through creative strategies for problem-solving and manifesting in the realms of relating in the world, at work, in the community and at home, and inside oneself. We integrate the modalities of visual and other creative arts integration therapy, and self-discovery dialectical exercises and transpersonal arts research, In addition, we facilitate women’s and youths’ support groups using trans diaspora art research as a method and process to examine the plurality of dimensions of one’s lived experiences and nurture collective awareness and belonging.

Lumina Arts Guidance and Counseling services are facilitated by Katya Min, a Bay Area mother of two, whose career and service of 25 plus years include roles as a counselor, human and social services provider, an art curator, and now a guide and helper in connecting all modalities to cultivate creativity and power for those seeking paths to manifestation.

Katya studied Interdisciplinary Fine Arts at CCA, and Integral Psychology at CIIS and trained in art therapy and is certified in Therapeutic Arts. She served 9 years as the Curator of Public Programs and Engagement at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts ( from 2011-2018) and previously had also served as an art therapist and addiction and empowerment counselor and case manager to women and youth in Oakland and San Francisco in clinics and orgs such as Asian Health Services, National Council on Alcohol and other Drug Addictions, and Thunder Road Adolescent Treatment Center.
